This is what I am doing with Bandcamp now. Older/out of print releases and occasional items like live recordings, unique online content, will be behind my subscription. A few releases will remain public. You are welcome to treat this "subscription" as you wish, access to my catalog of material for a one time fee, or continued support with a mix of new releases as they come.
I will be adding small PDFs of photography to pair with new releases as I feel this is a different view into my relationship with music and location and experience. Merch of new releases will be exclusive to subscription as well.
